Ghanaian Comedian Funny Face arrested for unlawful discharge of firearm

Ghanaian comedian Benson Oduro Boateng aka, Funny Face was arrested by the police in Kasoa area of Accra, Ghana, on Monday, 8 February for an unlawful discharge of firearms at a bar.

In a statement by the Central Regional Police, Irene Serwaa Oppong said, someone had reported Funny Face for causing a disturbance in a bar. She stated that their investigations reveal he had a misunderstanding with the owner of the bar and got into a fight.

Although the two were separated, Funny Face went home, returned with a gun and fired warning shots. According to reports, the gun has also been retrieved and investigations are ongoing to determine whether it is a registered gun or not.

After arrest, the comedian also reported the owner for assault after sustaining injuries during the fight.
